Share

The Oxnard unemployment office will remain closed until Monday to give employees more time to work through the trauma of last week’s shooting, state officials said Tuesday.

Employees from the Oxnard office will receive counseling and remain on paid administrative leave until the office reopens. Workers from other unemployment offices will cover for Oxnard employees who aren’t able to return Monday, officials said.

Individuals seeking unemployment benefits at the Oxnard office are being asked to go to the Employment Development Department offices in Ventura at 4839 Market St. or in Simi Valley at 980 Enchanted Way.
