COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Irvine Valley Wins in Men’s Basketball

Rashad Wilson had 18 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for Irvine Valley, which beat East Los Angeles, 79-73, Tuesday in the first round of the Riverside men’s basketball tournament.

Thomas Airey added 15 points for the Lasers (5-4), who trailed, 42-36, at the half. Airey made five of 13 three-point shots.

In a nonconference men’s game:

Saddleback 93, Grossmont 68--Tes Whitlock had 29 points for visiting Saddleback (5-2). Whitlock was 10 of 13 from the field including seven of 10 three-pointers.
