1 Killed, Car Severed in Freeway Crash
An unidentified person was killed and a car severed in a freeway crash Wednesday night, authorities said.
Part of the car was left in a traffic lane, with the remainder on the shoulder, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher. The occupant of the car died en route to the hospital.
The accident occurred at 9 p.m. and involved a second car, the CHP said. Information on that driver was not immediately available.
Three southbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway just north of Seal Beach Boulevard were blocked for more than an hour.
