Man in Critical Condition After Shooting
A 21-year-old Palmdale man remained in critical condition Saturday night with a gunshot wound to the head, and authorities said a second man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mickey Elliott was in critical condition at Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center in Lancaster, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Elliott was transferred to the Lancaster facility from Palmdale General Hospital, where he was taken by ambulance following the shooting Friday afternoon in the 38100 block of 11th Street East in Palmdale.
Matthew Nall, 39, also of Palmdale, was arrested at the scene and was booked at the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Station for attempted murder, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Donna Levi said.
Levi said she did not know the circumstances of the shooting or whether the men were acquainted.
