WESTMINSTER : School Gets $2,500 From Mall Program
Westminster High School received $2,500 recently through the Cash for Class program sponsored by the Westminster Mall.
Eleven other high schools were given $250 to $2,000 under the program in which shoppers could trade their purchase receipts to earn points for their school. The program started Sept. 1 and ended Dec. 31.
The money will be used to provide scholarships, school equipment and computers.
A new program will start March 1 for 20 local public and private schools.
The other high schools that participated were Marina, $2,000; Ocean View, $1,500; Los Alamitos, $1,000; Pacifica, $750; Huntington Beach, $500, and Bolsa Grande, $500.
Also, Fountain Valley, $500; Edison, $500; Cypress, $250; Los Amigos, $250, and Rancho Alamitos, $250.
