Boy, 15, Arrested in Shooting Outside San Diego School
A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with the drive-by shootings of three youths outside a math-science magnet school earlier this week, police said Thursday.
Detectives from the San Diego Police Department’s anti-gang unit arrested the youth Wednesday night and said it is probable he would be charged with three counts of attempted murder. Police said they tracked him through a partial license plate number.
The teen-agers were wounded Wednesday when gunmen in a pickup fired into a crowd of teens near a school basketball court.
The three injured youths were reported in good condition.
