Quake Fix
The Feb. 1 story of the clock that started ticking after the recent earthquake struck home. I have a chime clock hanging on my office wall that had not been working for over two years. I thought of discarding it on many occasions but never got around to it. Lo and behold on the day of the quake I arrived in my office and the damned thing was ticking away and chiming! My office is in a hospital built like a fortress, but somehow the earthquake managed to revive this dormant timepiece.
