SIMI VALLEY : Quake Aid Available to Nonprofit Groups
Nonprofit groups in Simi Valley seeking financial aid to recover from the earthquake are invited to apply for funding from the city.
In January, the city received approval for early release of $738,000, its 1994-95 share of federal Community Development Block Grant funds.
Part of the funds have been set aside for nonprofit organizations with quake-related projects.
Applications are available at the city manager’s office at 2929 Tapo Canyon Road. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Feb. 28.
