BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJORS : Koufax Working With the Rangers
Associated Press
Hall of Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax began a weeklong stint with the Texas Rangers on Sunday, working as a volunteer throwing coach at Port Charlotte, Fla.
Koufax, who came to camp as a favor to Texas Manager Kevin Kennedy, a longtime friend, began work right away by watching film with pitcher Bruce Hurst.
“I’m going to do the best I can to help,” Koufax said. “It all depends on the situations. If I see something, I might suggest it. It might work, it might not work.”
