From Associated Press

Peter Andersson, playing in only his fifth game all season, scored his first goal since April 2 to break a 2-2 tie and had his first assist of the season to lead the Rangers in a 5-2 victory over the Quebec Nordiques in New York.

He is usually relegated to a role with the Rangers’ Black Aces, five men who rarely play and usually watch from the upper boxes at Madison Square Garden.

“When I put the puck in, the first thing I did was to look up and point to the Black Aces,” Andersson said. “I think those guys appreciated the fact that an Ace got the game-winner.”
