Attempt to Prolong Dog’s Life Was Cruel
* Although well-intended, the attempt to prolong the life of Bimbo, the dog that was horribly burned during the earthquake, was extremely cruel.
Dogs have no concept of the human obsession with length of existence. They do understand what it is to be in agony.
If it had been possible to save the dog and it had lived another 10 years, that would not have made up for the pain it was allowed to feel. It should have immediately been put out of its misery.
