WESTMINSTER : Ex-City Manager Rehired Temporarily
Robert H. Huntley, who was city manager here from 1967 to 1977, has been hired as the temporary city manager. He started work Monday, replacing Jerry Kenny, who retired Friday
Huntley, 70, a consultant with the city’s Redevelopment Agency for the last three years, is expected to stay until a permanent city manager is hired in the next three to four months, according to Assistant City Manager Don Anderson.
Anderson said that David M. Griffith & Associates, a consulting firm hired by the City Council last month, is coordinating the search for a city manager.
Huntley is a longtime Westminster resident. He is a former city manager of La Habra and Santa Paula and for a time worked with Orange County as an executive manager, responsible for administration, labor relations and legislative projects.
As consultant to the Redevelopment Agency, he helped in such projects as Westminster Center and the Bolsa Corridor, Anderson said.
Anderson said Huntley will be involved in the preparation of the 1994-95 budget.
