Jailed Dog Owner
* Am I supposed to feel sorry for Robert Lewis, who spent four days in jail for assuming that he was too good to answer a summons to appear in court (March 8)?
Lewis admits that he has known for eight years that he was required to license his dog, but he was “too busy.” This scofflaw and his daughter also think it is perfectly all right to allow their dog to roam free “twice a week to chase cats.” My cat was killed recently in her own back yard by two marauding dogs. Lewis is completely lacking in responsibility to his pet as well as to his neighbors.
My congratulations to Judge Michael Kanner.
