BUENA PARK : City Strikes Deal on Animal Control
Residents who wish to report lost or stray pets or animal cruelty or who have questions about dog licenses can now call La Habra Animal Control.
The city of La Habra has begun providing Buena Park with animal control services instead of the county.
However, stray pets will continue to be delivered to the Orange County Animal Shelter.
If a Buena Park resident suspects that their stray pet may have been picked up by animal-control officers, they should first call La Habra Animal Control. La Habra Animal Control will be able to confirm if the pet is in their care.
The city decided to contract with La Habra as a cost-saving measure.
