Robles is proving to be one of the most versatile athletes in the Orange Empire Conference. She is the conference’s best pitcher and among its leading hitters. She won three games, all by shutouts, and also was six for 10 with three stolen bases. Robles, from Santa Fe Springs St. Paul High, beat Riverside, 1-0, Monday. She came back Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over Saddleback, then beat Rancho Santiago, 4-0, Friday. Robles lowered her conference earned-run average to 0.19 with the three shutouts. She also raised her batting average to .444.
Other notables:
* Brandi Kossub, Orange Coast, won the 50-yard and the 100-yard backstroke and was on four winning relay teams as OCC dominated the Cuesta Invitational.
