OC HIGH: STUDENT NEWS & VIEWS : Broken Strings
After more than a decade, the celebrated Air Guitar show at Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo has been canceled.
Only eight groups auditioned, even though the tryout date was extended to increase participation. And that wasn’t enough to put together a good show, according to the student newspaper, the CVHS Times.
Meanwhile, nine students who had opted to attend the new Aliso Niguel High School, touted as a state-of-the-art facility, have decided to return to Capistrano Valley after one semester, according to the newspaper.
“The only advanced technology they had was the Dinacom system, which wasn’t even available to use until after Christmas. I do have to say that the skylights were pretty neat, though,” one student said.
