BREA : Contracts OKd for 2 School Officials
Brea Olinda Unified School District trustees have approved two-year contracts for the district’s two assistant superintendents.
Peter J. Boothroyd, assistant superintendent of human services, and Gary D. Goff, assistant superintendent of business services, have agreed to continue working for the district for an annual salary of $81,794 each until June 30, 1996.
Board members approved the contracts on a 4-2 vote last week. Trustees Todd A. Spitzer and Leonard MacKain cast the dissenting votes.
Spitzer said he has nothing against the assistant superintendents but feels that one-year contracts are more flexible. “I just don’t believe in rolling over contracts unnecessarily,” he said. MacKain agreed.
Supt. Edgar Z. Seal said that Goff’s and Boothroyd’s contracts have been renewed every two years for the past 12 years.
