COMPTON : City Hall Offices Switch to 4-Day Week
The city of Compton has joined a growing number of area cities to shut their doors on Friday and expand hours of operation on other weekdays.
City Hall offices are open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and closed Fridays. The action was taken in an effort to comply with Air Quality Management District standards requiring large employers to reduce employee car trips, City Clerk Charles Davis said.
City Hall had been open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays before the change.
