BRIEFLY : Quake Aid: The Getty Gives Grant

The J. Paul Getty Trust has awarded a $250,000 grant to Santa Monica College for earthquake recovery.
Funds from the grant will be used to replace damaged books and equipment in the library, art department and the College of Design, Art and Architecture.
“We’re overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the Getty in helping us in those areas with needs that would otherwise go unmet,” said college President Richard Moore.
The J. Paul Getty Trust is a private foundation dedicated to the visual arts and humanities.
