SIMI VALLEY : Scenic Road May Get Shopping Center Sign
A plan to post a sign for a shopping center along a scenic Simi Valley roadway will be considered today by the City Council.
If approved, a sign for the Village Shopping Center would be posted on the south side of Madera Road near Wood Ranch.
Signs along scenic roadways are strictly regulated in the city’s General Plan. There are no other signs along that stretch of roadway, save a low stone marker at the entrance to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
In considering whether to allow the sign, the council will have to decide whether to make an exception or change the restrictions on signs along scenic roads.
