THOUSAND OAKS : Teen-Ager Arrested in Attack on Youth

A Thousand Oaks youth, arrested five days earlier in a suspected gang fight, was booked again Wednesday and accused of bursting into a teen-ager’s home and beating him.

Brady Willmon, 18, a former football player at Westlake High School, was in Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said. Because of his earlier arrest, bail was increased from $5,000 to $50,000.

Deputies charge that Willmon and two other youths rushed into the home of 18-year-old Daniel Ihle in the 1400 block of Grissom Street with knives and small clubs, shouted gang slogans and began hitting and kicking the Thousand Oaks youth.

Ihle, suffering minor injuries, was taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center and later released. Ihle told sheriff’s deputies that Willmon was one of his assailants, police said. Investigators were still looking for two other suspects.

In an incident last Friday, Willmon was arrested on an assault charge stemming from a fight in Newbury Park, authorities said. He was accused of hitting a juvenile with a broom handle, deputies said.
