A couple who helped victims of the Laguna Beach fire will be among those honored by the Irvine Valley College Foundation this month.

Ed and Lisa Sauls of Laguna Beach will receive the foundation’s Community Award at a dinner Thursday. The award is meant to highlight the achievements of people in the area served by Irvine Valley College, which includes Irvine, Tustin and Laguna Beach.

The Saulses spent months after the October fires helping victims obtain clothing, food, shelter and financial aid. They are on the board of directors of the Laguna Fire Relief Organization, a nonprofit group that helps fire survivors.
