Schwartz Wins Speedway Motorcycle Race

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event in the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Mike Faria was second, San Juan Capistrano’s Brad Oxley third and Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino fourth.

Robert Pfetzing of Tustin Ranch won the eight-lap handicap main event. Brea’s Shawn McConnell was second, Garry Hicks of Riverside was third, Josh Larsen of Balboa was fourth and Faria was fifth.
