Some schools and offices in Orange County will be closed today and some events postponed in recognition of a national day of mourning for former President Richard Nixon.

* Federal offices are closed, except for U.S. District courthouses in Santa Ana and Los Angeles. Each judge will decide whether to hold court sessions, but the District Court clerk’s office will remain open.
* U.S. Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and window service.
* New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

* Saddleback Community College and Irvine Valley College.
* All 28 schools in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
* Yorba Linda city offices.
* Imperial Highway branch of Capital Bank in Yorba Linda will close at noon.
