BRIEFLY : Community Service: Program Seeks Volunteers
The UCLA Alumni Assn. seeks volunteers for its “Christmas in April,” a national community service project to be held Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 lep.m.
The program rehabilitates homes of low-income, disabled and elderly people. Volunteers are needed to help with yard cleanup, trash removal, painting, installation of locks, and electric and plumbing jobs at several Los Angeles locations. The improvements will be completed in one day.
Anyone older than 14 is eligible. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and small hands tools such as hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches. Information: (310) 206-0512.
