Graf: Arrest May Be Help for Capriati

PARIS — Steffi Graf, the world’s top-ranked woman, said Sunday she was saddened by Jennifer Capriati’s arrest on drug charges last week in Florida, but is hoping the episode will be a turning point.
“Maybe it will make her look back on what she has done and what she has achieved and what direction she is going to go,” Graf said.
The problem was not too much fame at a young age, Graf said.
“(There) are so many other players who just didn’t have problems,” Graf said.
Newsweek reported Sunday that Capriati, who is undergoing drug rehabilitation in Miami Beach, had been treated for drug abuse in February at The Manors, a private hospital in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
