Schwartz Wins Speedway Main Event

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event in the weekly speedway motorcycle program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, Mike Faria of Apple Valley third and Don Odom of Redondo Beach fourth.

Josh Larsen of Balboa won the eight-lap handicap main event. Faria was second, Ed Castro of Ojai was third, Andy Northrup of Ontario was fourth and Mark Hannah of Newport Beach was fifth.
