Shooting Victim Dies at Hospital
A 23-year-old Canoga Park man was found mortally wounded by gunfire a block away from a home where police were called to investigate a report of shots fired, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
Wesley Williams was found Saturday in a pool of blood in the 11560 block of Wheeler Street in Lake View Terrace, according to Foothill Division Sgt. Jim Brady. Williams was taken to Pacifica Industrial Medical Center in Sun Valley, where he died.
Brady said police responded to a call of shots fired in the 11940 block of Gager Street in Lake View Terrace shortly before 11 p.m.
Brady said circumstances surrounding the shooting were still under investigation, adding that some type of dispute was involved.
