PALOS VERDES PENINSULA : MTA to Continue Funds for Dial-A-Ride Buses
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will continue to fund dial-a-ride bus service on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and in six other Los Angeles County areas over the next fiscal year.
County Supervisor Deane Dana said the services, which are used by the disabled and the elderly, will receive $417,000 in 1994-95.
The county has pledged $90,000 to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Transit Authority, but restrictions have been imposed: Peninsula users will be restricted to 32 vouchers per month, with special consideration in some cases.
