ALISO VIEJO : New School Plans Meeting for Parents
The first meeting for parents of students at the new Wood Canyon Elementary School is scheduled for tonight at 7.
Parents are encouraged to attend and discuss the school, which is scheduled to open with 700 students in September.
The meeting will be in the multipurpose room at Aliso Viejo Middle School, 111 Park Ave.
“Parents might have concerns about whether we’ll be ready on time,” said Wood Canyon Principal Dianne Hoff. “Parents also don’t know who the staff are. We’ll introduce them at the meeting.”
Hoff said she hopes the first steps toward forming a Parent-Teacher Assn. can be made at the meeting.
Wood Canyon is one of five new elementary schools in the Capistrano Unified School District that will open this fall.
