Singer Vince Gill holds onto the top spot of The Times’ Southern California country chart, beating out a strong field with his “When Love Finds You” album. Look for it to be one of the summer’s biggest country hits. All-4-One’s ballad “I Swear,” the pop singles chart leader for the past two months, may have already clinched pop’s single-of-the-year title. “The Lion King” soundtrack is No. 2, but with the film drawing huge crowds, soundtrack sales should climb enough this week for it to be crowned king of the pop chart.
