St. Louis Cardinal second baseman Geronimo Pena, Montreal Expo pitcher Mel Rojas and San Francisco Giant coach Bob Brenly were each suspended and fined undisclosed amounts by National League President Len Coleman for incidents last week.

Brenly was suspended for 14 games, effective immediately, for charging the mound from the bullpen in a July 2 bench-clearing incident that started when Rojas hit Barry Bonds with a pitch.

Rojas was suspended for four games, also effective immediately.

Pena received a five-game suspension, effective July 14 after the All-Star break, for charging the mound and provoking a bench-clearing incident in a June 30 game against Colorado.
