Forget the heat. The French sports daily, L’Equipe, has declared that the 1994 World Cup is “very cool.”

“It is still too early to know if the grafting of (soccer) will take on the outer-Atlantic,” the newspaper said in an editorial Tuesday. “On the other hand, we can affirm that the World Cup is the nicest in history. As a relaxed American would say: Fun.”
