“90 Minutes,” England’s sometimes irreverent but always entertaining weekly soccer magazine, is running a fantasy league involving the World Cup.

Participants can pick their own team of players from among the 528 in the World Cup and are awarded points as follows:

--Three for each goal scored.

--Two for each goal created.

--Four for each shutout.

--One point deducted for each goal allowed by a goalkeeper or any of the four defensive players.

The magazine has been keeping track of each player’s performance and publishing his point total each week.

Fantasy leagues are all the rage in England at the moment, but this is the first involving the World Cup.
