A scholarship has been set up for students at USC Law School.
The Groman Scholarship Fund, named after Arthur Groman, senior partner at the Los Angeles law firm Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp, was established by Miriam Groman and Occidental Petroleum Corp. The amount of the three-year scholarships will vary according to recipients’ financial needs.
Arthur Groman, 79, has been with the Los Angeles law firm since 1944 and his wife established the scholarship fund to honor his 80th birthday.
“The fund will help ensure that gifted but financially needy law students are able to obtain an education at USC,” said Scott H. Bice, USC Law School dean.
