Hallmark Forms New TV Unit: The greeting card giant formed Hallmark Entertainment to supply films and miniseries to the television networks. Robert Halmi Jr., president and chief executive of Hallmark’s newly acquired RHI Entertainment Inc., will hold the same title at the new unit. RHI and Signboard Hill Productions will remain as production firms reporting to Hallmark Entertainment. The new unit plans to produce more than 40 network television projects this year. Hallmark acquired RHI in May for $365 million.
