NORTH HOLLYWOOD : Valley Plaza Library to Reopen Monday
The Valley Plaza branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, closed for more than six months because of earthquake damage, will reopen Monday.
Repairs to the facility at 12311 Vanowen St. in North Hollywood include new ceiling lights, carpeting, interior paint and an increased electrical capacity to accommodate modern library technology.
Library hours be from 12:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
City library branches that remain closed because of earthquake damage are Los Feliz, Granada Hills, Woodland Hills and the North Hollywood Regional Library. For up-to-date recorded information on the status of branch closures, call (213) 228-7104.
