Accused Killers of Jordan’s Father Face Death Penalty

LUMBERTON, N.C. —
The two men accused of killing James Jordan, the father of basketball great Michael Jordan, will face the death penalty, a North Carolina judge ruled Monday. Larry Demery and Daniel Green, both 19, were in court for pretrial motions. They were arrested Aug. 15, 1993, and have been held without bond since. James Jordan was shot to death July 22, 1993, police said.
