OUTLOOK

This former Sea View League member receives a boost from two former players. The Roadrunners’ attack revolves around Caldwell, who returns to the team after living in Texas in 1993. As a starter on the varsity in 1992, Caldwell gained 507 yards in 94 carries (a 5.4-yard average) and scored two touchdowns. “He’s the only speed we have on the football field,” Witte said. “We need 1,000 yards from him and we think we can get it.” Killingbeck returns after taking a year off to concentrate on baseball and basketball. He started at cornerback toward the end of his sophomore season, but will play offense exclusively. Witte is relying on Killingbeck to operate the Roadrunners’ option attack. “We’re very pleased to have them back,” Witte said. “We need them.”
