OUTLOOK

The Sunset League was not kind to Westminster. Like many of the new league’s arrivals, the Lions are hoping for better days. They might get their wish immediately. Westminster has experience and depth. “We have a lot more (depth) than in some previous years,” Clark said. “We have a lot of solid players. We like our chances.” Allison and Vit split time at quarterback last season and are again battling for the job. “I’m real pleased with the contest,” Clark said. “They both have been working a little harder.” Another heated competition is occurring at tight end. Mann and Tafua have both been impressive, which might force Clark to rotate them and devise plays using two tight ends.
