The Miami Dolphins expect Deion Sanders to wait until the baseball schedule is clarified before deciding where he will play this season.
Acting baseball commissioner Bud Selig has set Friday as the tentative deadline for canceling the season.
“I don’t think (Sanders) will make any kind of decision until then,” Dolphin General Manager Eddie Jones said. “I think that’s the driving force right now.”
The deadline means Sanders could be available to play football as early as next week.
Sanders is committed to completing the baseball season with the Cincinnati Reds before switching to football.
