Jennifer Capriati, who left the women’s tour last year and was later arrested on drug charges, wants to return to tennis in October.

The player’s agent, International Management Group, said the 18-year-old star has requested wild-card entries for the Barilla indoor tournament in Zurich, Switzerland, and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Filderstadt, Germany.

The Zurich tournament will be held Oct. 3-9, the Filderstadt tournament Oct. 10-16.

Capriati left the tour last year after losing in the first round of the U.S. Open. She started playing pro tennis shortly before her 14th birthday.

Capriati was arrested May 16 at a Coral Gables motel and charged with marijuana possession after she had allegedly spent the weekend partying with friends. Acquaintances said she had used heroin and crack cocaine during that weekend.

Capriati spent 23 days in the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami before being released from the substance-abuse clinic June 10.
