* The San Fernando Valley Voter Registration Education Project will kick off a nonpartisan voter registration drive at 8 a.m. Saturday at the office of Home Visitation Center, 13412 Van Nuys Blvd., Pacoima. Breakfast will be served at 8, followed by voter registration training from 9 to 10 a.m. Afterward, teams led by elected officials will walk in targeted precincts of the San Fernando Valley. * Propositions 186 and 187 will be discussed at a Democratic Coalition meeting scheduled for Wednesday at the California Pantry restaurant, 120 E. Palmdale Blvd., Palmdale. Dinner and social hour begin at 6:15, followed by the program at 7:25 p.m. Information: (805) 945-2330.
