Politics: IRA Leader to Speak
Gerry Adams, leader of Sinn Fein, the political wing of the Irish Republican Army, will speak in Los Angeles on Friday.
Sponsored by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, the luncheon will be held at noon at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City.
Adams is on a tour of the United States to promote peace talks between the British government and the IRA, which has been fighting for 25 years to end British rule of Northern Ireland.
