HUNTINGTON BEACH : Man Sought in Theft at Auto Club Office
Police on Tuesday were seeking a robber who made off with about $2,000 from a local membership-sales office of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
The robber--described as a white man in his 40s with gray-streaked dark hair and a thick gray mustache--was last seen running away from the office, police said.
The man, who said he had a gun, demanded money from a cashier shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, Lt. Bruce Kelly said. The robber was given about $2,000 in cash before he left the office in the 7800 block of Talbert Avenue, Kelly said.
