Fausto’s two touchdowns in the opening quarter gave Los Amigos an early, 13-0 lead. But Aliso Niguel made a game of it in the second quarter.

First, defensive end Ryan Wiedeman returned an interception for a five-yard touchdown. Trailing, 20-7, Aliso Niguel pulled off a successful hook-and-ladder play. Quarterback Scott Nemeth threw to Justin Martin, who lateraled to Andrew Mashburn.

Mashburn ran the final 60 yards of the 68-yard play, cutting the Lobos’ lead to seven at halftime.

But Los Amigos wore down Aliso Niguel in the second half, limiting them to just 14 yards on 12 plays and no first downs. And the Wolverines were hurt by five turnovers in the game.

Lobos quarterback Ape Tuato was 10 of 15 for 174 yards including a fourth-down, 21-yard touchdown pass to Warren Roberge. Nemeth completed 10 of 19 for 96 yards.
