Cafe Reality Check

Rosemary Krabbe’s maudlin letter (Oct. 2) regarding the closing of the Pali Cafe in Silverado Canyon needs a reality check.

Sept. 18 was a “sad day” for the hard-working employees of Pali Cafe who now find themselves in the unemployment line! Will their “leisurely breakfast” now come from food stamps?

Notwithstanding the convenience and camaraderie lost by the closing, it is not the end of western civilization as we know it.
