Dehere Is on a Roll in Clipper Victory
Terry Dehere scored 18 of his game-high 27 points in the second quarter as the Clippers defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 106-84, in an exhibition Saturday night.
The Hawks, who played without holdout center-forward Kevin Willis and injured center Jon Koncak, emptied their bench in the fourth quarter.
Two dunks by Charles Outlaw and a three-pointer by Dehere gave the Clippers a 52-45 lead they did not relinquish.
Harold Ellis added 19 points, Outlaw 14 and Loy Vaught 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers.
