Clipper center Elmore Spencer, who stormed out of practice Monday night at UC Irvine and walked three miles to the team hotel, met with General Manager Elgin Baylor and Coach Bill Fitch Tuesday to explain his temper tantrum.

“It’s a private matter,” Spencer said before Tuesday night’s game against the Lakers.

“I talked with the GM, I talked to the trainer and I talked to the coach. It’s been dealt with in a professional manner.”

Spencer declined to explain why he didn’t act in a professional manner when he departed practice 15 minutes early.

“I would love to answer, but it’s personal,” Spencer said. “It has been resolved. Actions were taken and both parties are ready to move on.”

There were no new developments in the walkout of Laker guard Sedale Threat, who left the team in an apparent attempt to get a contract extension.
