‘Duets III “? Yes, though the second Frank Sinatra album pairing him with other singers--including Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson, Chrissie Hynde and Linda Ronstadt--won’t be out until next month, plans are already being made for a third volume. Sinatra’s representatives won’t confirm it, but speculation is centering on Axl Rose (who had been rumored as part of “Duets II”) and opera star Luciano Pavarotti as top candidates to duet with Ol’ Blue Eyes in the next round. . . .

L.A. band Weezer’s video for the song “Buddy Holly” sets the group Gump-like in the old “Happy Days” series. Weezer (which headlines the Roxy on Wednesday) takes the role of the house band at Arnold’s, with new footage featuring actor Al Molinaro reprising his role as the drive-in’s proprietor intercut with actual clips from the series. . . .

Crash Test Dummies have recorded XTC’s “The Ballad of Peter Pumpkin Head,” for the soundtrack album of the upcoming Jim Carrey movie “Dumb & Dumber.” Also on the collection will be a Deee-Lite version of Hot Chocolate’s 1976 dance-floor hit “You Sexy Thing,” plus tracks by the Proclaimers, the Butthole Surfers, the Primitives, Pete Droge, Echobelly, Green Jelly and Gigolo Aunts. . . .

Material Issue’s live EP “Going Through Your Purse,” due Nov. 1, is a real Chicago reunion, with the band being introduced by fellow Windy City rocker Nash Kato of Urge Overkill and joined by Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen on a version of the Sweet’s “Ballroom Blitz.” (Material Issue will be opening for the Pretenders at the Wiltern on Nov. 12 and the Palladium on the 13th.) . . .

Marvin Etzioni, Carla Olson, Cindy Lee Berryhill and Baby Lemonade are among the Southern California acts set for a Brian Wilson tribute concert, Nov. 3 at the Morgan Wixson Theatre in Santa Monica. The event will benefit Sweet Relief, the organization founded by Victoria Williams to help musicians with medical needs. There’s no word yet on whether Wilson will perform.*
